I apologise for forgetting about this tournament, along with the Gold Coast Open.

The 2010 NSW Open was played from 12th-14th of June in Parramatta NSW. The top seed was GM Zong-Yuan Zhao (2583).

Here are the final results:
1st GM Zong-Yuan Zhao with 6/7
2nd-3rd IM Gary Lane (2367), GM-elect George Xie (2482) with 5.5/7

There was a four-way tie in the U1600 between Willis Lo, Alana Chibnall, Mark Stokes and Matthew Bennett, all with 6/7.

2008 NSW Open

Who: Chess players, mainly from NSW

What: The 2008 NSW Open

When: June 7th-9th

Where: Parramatta, NSW

Why: To aid the intellectual development (according to a number of research studies) and possibly to increase the net worth of a number of people. Tournaments also create public awareness of this wonderful game and also comes up with new sponsors.
