Two New Chess Articles

There are two new chess articles on GeniusProphecy.com.

"Beginning Chess - Where to Start" talks about the need to study endgames and also includes some opening suggestions for beginners. Several chess books are also noted throughout the article. Click here to access the beginning chess article.

There is also an articled called "Secret of Chess". Here, I go through many secrets of chess such as "computers will solve the game of chess" or "Secret of Chess: Dress like a grandmaster and you start to play like one" (according to GM Nigel Short). 2008 Dresden Chess Olympiad

In November, Australia sent a team to the Chess Olympiad in Dresden, Germany. Here are the teams, with actual ratings in brackets and beside them, their performance ratings.

Solomon wins 2008 Elwood Chess Championship

IM Stephen Solomon has won the 2008 Gambit Elwood Bendigo Bank Chess Championship with a score of 6.5/7, ahead of a very strong field. The tournament ran from the 1st-4th of November at the Box Hill Chess Club. The tournament was both a FIDE rated event as well as a Category 5 Myer Tan grand prix event.
