The 2008 Brighton Grammar Chess Cup was held on the 30th of May, as part of a larger Chess Victoria Interschool Chess tournament. The venue was Brighton Grammar School, and it has been one of the strongest tournaments held at the school. Scotch College won the event.

2nd Melbourne High School (2)
3rd Melbourne High School (1)
Individual placings were
1st Eugene Schön (1878) 7/7
2nd/3rd Zhigen Lin (2104), Nicholas Liu (1426) 6.5/7

Coming Australian Grand Prix Events
I haven't been "reporting" much things lately, but I will get on to it soon. We have strong tournaments like the Gardiner Gold Coast Open and Freytag Checkmate Open coming up. I am also aware of the 2008 Box Hill Club Championship, currently under way in Melbourne over several weeks.
